Are you in love with your best friend? Does he love you back? How to find out if he really loves you back? If your answer is no to any of the questions above, you are probably in love with your friend or you wouldn’t be reading this article.

Here are some signs that will help you find out if your best friend also loves.

How much time do you spend together ?

One of the first things you should ask yourself is how much time do you spend with your best friend. Is he around more during the weekend than he is during the week? If so, that is a great sign that he misses you a lot. If your best friend hardly spends time with you during the week but there is always time for a phone call during the weekends, that is another strong indication that he misses you too. This is a good way to tell if you are really in love.

Does he get defensive whenever someone tries to ask a question?

Another thing you should look for in your friend is how he/she interacts with others. Does he/she get defensive whenever someone tries to ask a question? Or does your friend let the other person have the last word? These are just a couple of ways to determine if he/she loves you back or not. Sometimes these signs are subtle, but it’s a good idea to look for these and other signs when trying to determine if your best friend is in love with you.

Has your best friend started asking you out more frequently than before?

Does he/she constantly bring up the subject of getting together and seeing you again? If your friend has become more interested in you, that’s a good sign that he/she is feeling that special attraction for you as well. If your best friend has always been there for you and has always treated you like a best friend, that is another very good sign that he/she really loves you.

Does he/she treat you like a queen every time you hang out together?

Have you started putting him/her on a pedestal because you believe that you are his/her “soul mate”? This is another one of the classic signs of an overactive mind in love. The mind of the best friend or soul mate is so busy creating new memories and plans for the future that it leaves no time for the more mundane needs of the flesh. A soul mate would never treat you so kindly and would give you all the attention and concern you need to feel complete.

How do you know if he/she is really in love with you?

You can ask him/her about their feelings and their intentions, but there is no sure way of knowing for sure. However, if your best friend has said that they love you without hesitation or reservation, that is a very strong sign that they are truly in love. Other signs include frequent conversations about his/her future and how much they want to be with you when they grow up (a.k.a. “when the kids are grown”).
