IIFA has announced special honours for notable veterans in the Indian film industry. Kamal Haasan will be recognised for outstanding achievement in Indian cinema, while Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza will receive accolades for their performances in regional cinema. Additionally, designer Manish Malhotra will be honoured for outstanding achievement in fashion in cinema. The awards will be presented at the Sobha Realty IIFA Rocks fashion show in Abu Dhabi. The event will feature live performances by Bollywood stars including Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan, as well as awards in nine technical categories and 12 popular categories. The Be Water+ve initiative was also launched in partnership with AquaKraft Foundation, promoting water conservation and interventions in disadvantaged villages.
